A huge shout out to our three amazing students and Mr. Alex who traveled to Macon to compete in the Georgia State Technology Competition. Their projects were presented so well and all received excellent feedback. Congratulations to Lola for receiving a 1st place in her category!
STEM In School Field Trip – Geology
An instructor from High Touch High Tech taught our students all about Geology. The students had a fantastic time learning about rocks and how they are formed. They also tested the rocks for hardness and learned about the effects of erosion on rocks.
Pre-K Students Field Trip to INK
INK – Interactive Neighborhood for Kids – brings imaginations to life! Our PreK students took a field trip to visit INK. They loved exploring the many exhibits and considering future possibilities.

School Spelling Bee winners competed in the GISA Middle School Spelling Bee
On February 7th, 2019 our school Spelling Bee winners competed in the GISA Middle School Spelling Bee at our very own school. This was the second year McGinnis Woods hosted Round 1 of the GISA Spelling Bee. Moving Up Day 2019
Today was “Moving Up Day” at McGinnis Woods Country Day School Today, all the students, including students from the preschool, elementary school and middle grades, spent an hour in next years’ grade level just to check out what their futures hold. They had a great time!
4th Grade Field Trip to the Freedom Center
