The students of McGinnis Woods are taught to value their environment and to care for the Earth. We work to reduce, reuse, and recycle within our school community. We have a recycling program which is run by the Student Council and Beta Club which helps the school raise money for further education in this area.
Recycling bins for paper, cans and plastic are located throughout the school in the classrooms and hallways. Students also take part in educational programs featuring environmental education. Students also participate in annual Science Fairs and Earth Day activities.
