STEM Lab
McGinnis Woods Country Day School is excited about the many hands on STEM activities which students in PreK -8th grade are immersed in each week.
The STEM Lab is always buzzing with the sounds of the 3D printer, robots, building, and collaboration as the children work with the STEM teacher to solve real life problems while bringing the curriculum to life. After school STEM, Robotics, and 3D and Me! clubs keep the students excited and engaged while preparing them for the future.
Technology Fair
Recently the school hosted its first Technology Fair showcasing the STEM skills and creativity of the middle school students. Students created a vast array of projects which included topics such as 3D Modeling, Animation, Audio Production, Multimedia Applications and Video Production.
The participants were excited to share their projects and answer questions posed by parents, younger students, and friends. Three of the projects were chosen to advance to an The Forsyth County Regional Technology Fair. The projects received a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place medal.
Our first place winner, Jessica Muniz, will be presenting her project at the State Fair in Macon in March.
