Spooky Science
What could be better than making slime, inflating spooky balloons by chemical reaction, magically moving items with magnets, and watching things “fly” on a zipline? Hooray for Spooky Science!
Learning About the Water Cycle
The 4th graders created colorful models of the water cycle. They made landmasses with lakes and a small ocean with salty water. They wrapped their tubs with plastic wrap and then placed them in a sunny spot. After an hour they visited their creations to collect observations and saw evaporation had happened. They also noted lots of condensation on the plastic wrap. Science is fun!
Random Act of Teacher Appreciation
Our Parent Association surprised every teacher in the preschool, elementary and middle schools with a “Random Act of Appreciation” gift to show their gratitude for all that our teachers do to make McGinnis Woods such a special place!
Happy Halloween! The pumpkin decorating contest during the virtual Halloween Party was amazing and we had a ton of fun playing bingo and hearing spooky stories, too! Our class Halloween parties were fun for all!
