Applying to McGinnis Woods Country Day School

McGinnis Woods admits students who are curious, engaged, motivated learners. Students are considered for admission upon application. In reviewing applications, the admissions committee considers student assessments, test scores, transcripts, and recommendations of teachers. Students accepted to the program demonstrate the ability to fulfill McGinnis Woods’ academic requirements.

PreK4 – 8th

McGinnis Woods accepts students on rolling admissions basis.

Application Steps

  1. Complete the application and submit to the school with a $110 application fee.
  2. Give the confidential teacher recommendation form to your current school. You may wish to include a stamped envelope addressed to McGinnis Woods Country Day School. The school will send the recommendation directly to our school.
  3. Upon receiving the completed application and fees, you will be contacted by a teacher to set up a time for a student assessment.
  4. On occasion students are asked to spend a portion of a day shadowing in a specific classroom.
  5. After your student has been assessed, you will be notified by letter about acceptance.

Three day programs are scheduled for Monday, Wednesday,
Friday, and two day programs are scheduled for Tuesday, Thursday.

Each Parent will be required to have a security key for entry into
the school with one key issued upon receipt of initial registration fee.
Additional keys will be issued upon payment of a $35.00 deposit.
There is an annual $75.00 Technology fee and $20.00 PA fee.
