Amy Lovern, MSN, RN is our school nurse. Nurse Amy takes care of all of the medical aspects of our school. She also teaches HEALTH class to students’ ages 3 years through 8th grade. This aspect of her job is very rewarding and the students enjoy learning healthy habits.
Nurse Amy received her Associates of Science in Nursing from Pensacola State College, Bachelors of Science in Nursing and Masters of Science in Public Health Nursing Administration from The University of South Alabama.
She lives in Cumming and in her free time enjoys exercising, gardening and spending time with family. She and her husband, Fred have two sons, Odin and Jonas. Odin and Jonas both attend North Forsyth High School. She also has three dogs, which she adores. Milkshake and Pluto are Pugs and Yoda is a Chihuahua. Nurse Amy has worked in a variety of healthcare settings, from school nursing to most recently as a Hospice nurse, but believes her true calling is working with children.
